Activity 13: Rhyme Time on Earth

Learn about recycling, our natural resources, the universe and it's issues. Learn how we all work together to make this planet a safe and clean place for all it's inhabitants.
Read the Planetpals rhymes,print them out, and write a rhyme.

Learn about the Planetpals and what they stand for

Read planetpals rhymes and create a dialog with student, friends, or family about Planet Earth and the Planetpals ideas about ecology and our environment. Talk about the environment and how pollution, over consumption, and misuse effects life on the planet! See why it is important to do your part!

Learn about RHYMING and poetry.

For Kids

Try to write a rhyme about something in the universe, the planet, animals, people, or plants. Or identify an environmental problem and write a rhyme about that problem along with a solution.

Follow this up with other Planetpals pages such as Earth Matters, Recycle Lesson,or the Shining Star contest. Many pages can be located on the homepage, teachers page or the site map.

Submit a poem to Planetpals for possible inclusion in Earthzine Magazine.
