Original News Release: Introducing Planetpals EARTHZONE

How, Why, Where: The story behind PLANETPALS:

When Judith Gorgone embarked on Planetpals Earthzone web site two years ago she never anticipated receiving 2.7 million hits (April 2001), hundreds of awards and visitors from over 150 countries!

Planetpals owes it's success to her adorable characters that teach children to love the planet and everything in it in a fun way through innovative games, activities and fun filled facts.

From the amount of letters and requests she receives, it is obvious that the reception from children, parents, teachers and earth lovers is overwhelming . Teachers use Planetpals as a teaching tool in their classrooms for earth science and ecology curriculum. Towns, Companies and organizations have used Planetpals characters as premiums for their Earth day and America Recycles day events. Planetpals is linked to thousands of portals and web sites.

The Landwell Company of Henderson, Nevada sponsors an Earth Day Birthday event which has incorporated Planetpals in their festivities two years in a row. Planetpals recycle kits and coloring pages are given away and life-size Planetpals characters used as mascots to guide kids through the activities. This is just one of several events around the world that have taken advantage of Planetpals unique appeal.

"People are starting to get the message about the environment" says Gorgone "Schools are incorporating environmental awareness as part of their curriculum. Towns are having Earth Week and Earth Day events. That's one segment of the market where Planetpals comes in as a great education solution for young or old."

Planetpals gets the message out there in a way that is easy and unexpected with unique games and fascinating facts that help to emphasize alternative methods and simple solutions.

The Earth Times wrote "Planetpals Earthzone is a web playground for children to learn
responsibility". There is a nice balance of fact and fantasy presented in a way that dares you not to have fun while learning why being a "pal " to the environment is so important."
